Cori Yarckin...
Wow...what can I say?
I was asked to do a photo documentary on a benefit, Rock For Hunger, at UCF on the 17th of November. I was honored to be a part of the event.
I had no idea just how many talented bands there were offering thier time to raise money for the homeless and hungry.
One stuck out to me and my wife. Cori Yarckin...Wow!!! An attractive young lady with a voice that would melt the hardest of stones. I have never seen her perform before but have heard her tunes on myspace. Catchy tunes with a pop/rock flair to them.
She took the stage with a band that was extremely tight, very strong and very professional. More so than many other bands I have seen. They looked like a band. Not a pieces parts, garage looking band.
Each song took on a new attitude of fun and excitement. She corraled the audience with pure "Star" style. You just do not see that any more. She spoke to the people so you could understand everything she said. No mumbling...no dead space between songs They were rehearsed and professional...
If anyone gets a chance to see this band...GO!!!!
Why they are not signed by a major label, I just do not understand...
